• Purchase the Perry County facility

  • This is to alleviate the overcrowding we are currently facing. 

• Build two mega prisons  

  • One is for the prisoners who need mental health treatment. 

    • currently about 20% of the prison population

  • The second is for those who are close to their release date or parole date. 

    • this facility would function more like a community with apartments, jobs, and teaching reintegration skills like budgeting finances, independent living, etc.

  • These prisons should be placed where the soil is rich and fertile enough for the inmates to garden.

• Changing controlled substance possession laws:  

  • First time possession = a citation

  • Second time possession = a misdemeanor 

    • after second time, those arrested can request rehabilitation in exchange for the charge dropped from their record

  • Third time possession = a felony

• Standardize sentencing to show fairness for all offenders.
